The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon vintage showed great promise early on in the vineyard and throughout the growing season. It has simply gotten even better in the barrel and has evolved into a marvelous exemplar of the Napa Valley 2012 Cabernet. The wine offers gorgeous fruit on the nose of ripe plum, blackberry and currant combined with perfumed floral notes of spring flowers and hints of sweet spice. The elegance of the mouthfeel is especially impressive. Although the wine possesses substantial structure, weight and concentration, it is by no means overpowering, even in its youth. We envision this wine aging wonderfully in the cellar, but don't be afraid to open a bottle and enjoy it in its youth as well.
